Johan Grobbelaar will start as the Vodacom Bulls have made four changes to their starting lineup for the Currie Cup semi-final against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
Jake White has kept changes to a minimum from the side that lost narrowly to the same opponents in the final round in Pretoria.
Three of the changes are enforced, due to the retirement of Morne Steyn and Bismarck du Plessis, who hung up their boots after a final performance at Loftus Versfeld.
Chris Smith is called on to start at flyhalf, while Grobbelaar wears the No 2 jersey, with Jan-Hendrik Wessels dropping to the bench.
Another enforced change sees Keagan Johannes start at scrumhalf, with Embrose Papier missing out due to a hamstring niggle. Bernard van der Linde provides backup on the bench.
In the final change to the starting lineup, Nizaam Carr will replace Cyle Brink at blindside flank.
