The DHL Stormers, who won the inaugural Vodacom United Rugby Championship and went unbeaten at DHL Stadium in 2022, were voted as the SA Rugby’s Team of the Year for 2022.
It was however their playoff matches in URC that defined their season, most notably their 82nd-minute semi-final win against Ulster when Manie Libbok kicked a touchline conversion for the victory. It ensured a final against the Vodacom Bulls who had stunned Leinster in Dublin in the semi-final.
